Bawley Point Overnight
As compelling as the Jervis Bay area is, the coastal environment 90 minutes south is worthy of an overnight stay so as to explore two very special walking excursions.
The Murramarang National Park hugs the coast line south of Bawley Point. The Pretty Beach to Pebbly Beach walking circuit in Murramarang takes about 6 hours to complete round trip or 3 hours one way and is considered one of the best coastal walks in Australia.
The house chosen at Bawley Point overlooks the beautiful Bawley Coast. A local chef will prepare the evening meal after a full day's walk in Murramarang NP. The Bawley Point Tourism Group maintains a site about this lovely coastal region.
The next morning, Morton National Park is our destination. The Mount Bushwalker hike leads out to a point where the group will see Jervis Bay to the east and the Budawang Ranges to the west. This walk too is considered one of the choice hiking excursions available in the entire country.
Lunch is an easy decision... Cupitt's Winery just south of Milton overlooks the headwaters of Burrill Lake. The wetland scenery combined with the surrounding farming countryside makes this facility a must see.
